To meet the challenge of the 21st century in the field of higher education Daffodil International University has emerged as a young but highly promising and potential institution in the contemporary Bangladesh . Since its inception the university has been making all the best affordable efforts in ensuring quality education through sound development of excellent facilities in all the infrastructural aspects. The university makes all out efforts to explore and utilize the best services derived out of all the technological, ideological and academic spheres that the contemporary time has presented before us.

We have, by now, been able to launch different academic programs for the students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels under the two Faculties namely The Faculty of Business and Economics and The Faculty of Science & Information Technology. Under the Faculties a number of Departments are operating for offering education programs for the students of Undergraduate and Master Degree levels. In this context it is mentionable that The Daffodil International University has been offering education in the disciplines that are indispensable for the new generation of graduates, who need to contest for proper positions in the highly competitive world.

As the Dean of the Faculty I have so far opened a number of academic programs such as BBA, B.Com. (Hons) in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Finance & Banking. Under the Faculty there are more Departments namely BSS in Economics, Department of English where both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs are being offered. In addition, MBA program is there that has been working in full swing to the credit of the university. The B.Com (Hons) program, which is a unique program in the country, is an innovation that has added an unprecedented dynamism in the academic life of the university. The program, needless to say, has been highly appreciated by the student community of the country, and as such, has been on an ever-increasing enrollment. I feel optimistic that the introduction of such an academic program has been commensurate to the sentiment of the contemporary Bangladesh ; it is sure to yield remarkable contribution to the socio-economic life of the nation.

As the Pro-Vice Chancellor of this young university I have already been through some situations that demanded constant work, care, concern and unfailing commitment without which the essential growth and development is impossible. Through my practical experience of this short time I have come to realize that wise and intelligent decisions, dynamic plans and actions, scientific insightfulness and pragmatic farsightedness are some potential instruments for building up an excellent educational institution like an A-Graded university in a backward country like Bangladesh . The whole and sole motto of Daffodil International University , therefore, is to ensure quality in education without which the ultimate purpose of a university goes vain.

Both the Administrative and the Academic wings of the university are committed to render the best services for achieving the best possible product; this is the best ideology with which the university has been advancing through a team spirit. We are optimistic of our tomorrows, because our commitment is our strength.
