I am happy to participate in the 6th Convocation of Daffodil International University and address the graduates today. DIU is a growing University in Bangladesh under the leadership of Mr. Sabur Khan and eminent professors. This University has a bright future and I wish the University all the best.
A workshop on "How to Write Scientific Manuscript", organized by the Department of General Educational Development, Daffodil International University at the Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka.
Professor Dr. Khan was the main facilitator of this workshop.
UNODC in partnership with Daffodil International University
(DIU), under the framework of the European Union funded Global
Action against Trafficking in Persons and the Smuggling of
Migrants - Bangladesh (GLO.ACT-Bangladesh) Programme
facilitated an in-person workshop with students from DIU on 11 June 2022 when I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Ashulia campus of DIU. The workshop aimed to broaden participant’s knowledge and understanding of issues related to the rule of law in trafficking in persons (TIP) and the smuggling of migrants (SOM). In the margin of the workshop, DIU faculty members and representatives from UNODC inaugurated a UNODC library corner with materials published with the support from GLO.ACT-Bangladesh Programme. We expect that the UNODC library corner will be a valuable resource for the students and researchers of DIU to learn about TIP and SOM. We are glad about DIU as our partner, and we will be looking forward for further collaboration with the University to continue our common goal.
I Just want to thank DIU for gracious hospitality in hosting AUAP’s accreditation committee these last days. Everyone from Daffodil has been so kind and attentive to all of our needs. The DIU team have been wonderful.
I pray DIU will continue to expand and bless in this country, region and the world.
For me, this was the last Foundation Anniversary in my B.Sc. Life. And I must say, it was the best one.
For me, James was not the surprising one, the Editor of The Daily Star, Mahfuz Anam Sir was the surprising one who inspired me and I learned a lot of things from him.
For me, the biggest celebrity is Sabur Khan Sir, not any film star anymore.

Department of General Educational Development (GED), in collaboration with International Affairs, DIU presented outstanding workshops entitled "Sharing Strategies to Write High Impact Factor Journal" and "5G as IoT catalyst" ” and seminar on “Climbing the Ladder: Tips and Trick Professionalism Talk for the Young Researcher & Lecturer”.
On 22 November I spent a delightful day at the DIU campus presenting a talk in an international seminar organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Md. Mostafa Rashel of the English Department. The Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. A. M. M. Hamidur Rahman, and the chair of English, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Sharmin spent almost the entire visit with me, and they, the campus, the facilities, and the interactions I had with the students were simply wonderful. Daffodil International University truly feels exactly like a university campus should feel vibrant with intellectual spirit and the passion of young minds eager to address the problems which will confront us in the future.

Wishing DIU decades of continual success and contribution in making leaders and effective managers of tomorrow under the able leadership of the chairman Mr. Md Sabur Khan. I was highly impressed to see the rate of success of DIU which started in April 2002 with only 67 students and now can boost of 8000 increasing students, each with laptop computers, own computers, two pioneer subjects like Real Estate and Multimedia & Creative art. The continuously contribution of Founder VC Prof Dr. Aminul Islam and 2nd VC Prof Dr. Md Lutfur Rahman and all the resource personnel and admin of finance stall’s contribution. Please drive on. First congratulations on the perfect organization of the Event with limited resources, university vision and long-term and well-thought-out system building of the education infrastructure and its financing combined with business aspects and oriented towards the creation of new work/business workshops by students, supporting and inspiring scientific projects, supporting observed enthusiasm and potential of students, skillful combination of tradition and modernity during wonderful student performances. It was great to see all in practice. It is a great challenge to build a passion for knowledge combined with business and Dr. Sabur Khan did it wonderfully practically. Also thanks all the DIU staff members and students for their commitment and professionalism in the implementation of AUPF 2019. Thank you for the opportunity to meet students and the DIU staff, and to participate in a wonderful scientific debate, combined with the seminar which has been chaired by myself.
The visit to Dhaka was very reflective and inspirational for me, in particular regarding possible joint projects.
Finally, many thanks for the organization of the stay in Dhaka and great care, because without this help stay would not be possible in practice.
Getting quality education along with enough expertise in the field is very important for any student's career. The Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management at DIU is such a platform. It connects students directly with the environment by providing deep knowledge and real-life experience. The Department of ESDM not only produces graduates but also creates change makers - which is essential to improve our surroundings as well as our own careers.
To enrich myself in the light of knowledge I was admitted in the Department Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) of Daffodil International University 17 years before. Time and river stream never stop for anyone. There was no exception in my case. My study has been ended with the course of time. After the completions of student life, now I am working at The Premier Bank. But the heart is stuck in my university premises. Number of memories as the first batch student is infinite. The extent of the campus was not that much, but the teachers' knowledge and generosity had enlightened us. Today, when I see huge permanent campus, get the news of national and international achievement of our University I feel very proud. I know many others who are studying from here are supposed to have the same feelings.
I want to share some of my views to the present students that please gathered more practical knowledge with your bookish knowledge. Don’t miss your regular classes because this will help 50 percent of your reading/studies. From my job experience, I want to suggest you all for preparing yourself in any specific subject with good command but you have to get also other subjects knowledge. If you can prove/influence your Employer that I`m in very good in this subject (like: Finance, Accounting, HRM, Marketing) and this will benefit your organization. Please engage yourself in different types of educational activities which will increase your leadership skill as well as practical knowledge. Nobody will push you up the ladder unless you are willing to climb yourself. Please don’t waste your precious time.
Affection towards the university during student life has not been diminished at the course of time but the bonding of the soul has strengthened over time. And that's why I’m still connected with the university.

Along with my duty as a senior lecturer of Finance at the faculty of business and entrepreneurship in Daffodil International University [DIU], I am working as a visiting associate professor of Finance at Jiujiang University, China.
I completed my under-graduation (BBA) in Finance from business and administration department of DIU. Later, I received Chinese government scholarship for my further education for MBA degree in Shenyang Aerospace University, China. I was trained in stock market there. In the following year, I was offered Doctor of Philosophy [PhD] under CAS-TWAS President Fellowship in 2013, which is one of the most prestigious scholarships for higher studies worldwide. I was awarded the PhD in Financial Management by Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Science, China in 2017.
I believe the business and administration department of DIU provides the quality education to the students. The wide range of young, energetic faculty members of this university can engage the students with their interesting topics. I think the quality of teaching and the infrastructural facilities are up to the mark. I am honored to be a faculty member and a proud alumni of this university.
I completed my BBA degree under the Department of Business Administration, Daffodil International University in 2008. Afterward, I got my Master’s degree in International Business Administration and Foreign Trade at Worms University of Applied Sciences, Germany. On February 25, 2019, I was conferred PhD degree in International Trade from Chungnam National University, South Korea. Currently, I am working as a Researcher at Chungnam National University, South Korea and a Consultant at Daejeon Multi-Cultural Center, Daejeon, South Korea. Truly speaking, the life at DIU taught me many lessons that were core to endeavor my higher studies abroad and to shape the development path of my professional career. The skills and knowledge that I acquired from various programs along with extracurricular activities at DIU were what gave me an edge and ultimately led me to be where I am today. The Department of Business Administration at DIU is a top-notch department for any student seeking an exciting and international BBA and MBA experience. Having failed to enroll in public university like Dhaka University and Jahangirnagar University, I decided to choose a private university for my graduation program. It was 2006 when I prioritized Daffodil International University among many other alternatives. The reason why I choose DIU was nothing but a sheer intuition. But my decision was not wrong. The friendly ambiance and superb cooperation I found from the faculty was beyond my expectations. My faculty helped me regaining my loosen confidence and sharpened me by injecting a dynamic view of life. It inspired me to dream big. One has to dare to dream before achieving anything extraordinary. I think this is the excellence of DIU. I am indebted to DIU as it helped me through rationalizing my thinking and channeling my career to the right path.
সত্যি কথা বলতে, কেউ যখন বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলির কথা শুনে তারা স্বাভাবিক আচরণ করে না,একটু অন্যভাবে দেখে এবং মূল্যায়ন কম করে থাকে। আমাদের দেশে পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলি অনেক বেশি অগ্রাধিকার পায়। এটা অস্বাভাবিকও না। তাই যখন আমি ড্যাফোডিল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তি হতে যাচ্ছিলাম তখন আমি অনেক ভেবেছিলাম, অনেক নেতিবাচকতা দেখেছি, আমি সমাজ ও সমাজের কটুক্তি সম্পর্কে ভীত ছিলাম। তবে পরে আমি আমার বিভাগটি এত শক্তিশালী দেখতে পেলাম এবং সমস্ত শিক্ষক সদস্যরা এত সহায়ক এবং বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ ছিল যেটা আমার সাহস বাড়িয়ে তুলেছিল। তারা আমাদের যতটা সম্ভব সমর্থন করেছেন, সাহায্য করেছেন। তারা আমাদের প্রতিটি সম্ভাব্য উদাহরণ দিয়ে আরও ভালভাবে বুঝতে সহায়তা করেছে। আমরা অধ্যয়নকালে পেশাগতভাবেও কাজ করতে সক্ষম হয়েছি। আমাদের কাজ করতে অনেক উৎসাহিত করেছেন। আমাদের অনেক প্রকল্প রয়েছে যা অধ্যয়নরত অবস্থায় আমরা শেষ করেছি এবং তাদের সাহায্যেই এটা সম্ভব হয়েছে। আমরা শুধু বইয়ের মধ্যে আটকে ছিলাম না। আমরা অন্বেষণ করেছি, অনুশীলন করেছি, আমরা চেষ্টা করেছি এবং তারা আমাদের এসব করতে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছিলেন। আমাদের অনেক কর্মশালা ছিল, আমরা প্রচুর সেমিনারে অংশগ্রহন করতাম। অত:পর আমি আর সমাজে ভয় করি না এবং ডিআইইউর অংশ হতে পেরে আমি সত্যিই গর্বিত। আমি আজ যা করছি তা আমার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমর্থন এবং কঠোর পরিশ্রমের জন্যই সম্ভব হয়েছে।
I am Md Ashifur Rahman, working as an architect in a start-up organization. I have completed my bachelor degree from Daffodil International University. I am really proud that I found my name in the alumni list of DIU. Lots of memory and learning I got from this varsity. After admitted in the department of architecture, I started my varsity life. There were lots of opportunity I received from the varsity. Well decorated class, friendly teachers, resourceful library and lots of academic and non-academic activity helps me very much. The depth and detail of what I have learned is far beyond my expectation. I got a friendly environment to enhance my knowledge. The days at Daffodil University has undoubtedly prepared me for my prospective professional working life, not only did I develop a proficient understanding of architecture, but also a keen interest in the field of other fields too. I always loved to take challenges in my varsity life. I have involved myself to organize programs, seminars or any other types of events. From those activities I learned to work as a team, to maintain deadline, working according to budget and resource, managing people and proper communication with different types of people and organization. Teachers were really helpful. Beside the academic subjects they always tried to motivate us to become an entrepreneur, a skilled person, to use the new technology, to adopt the changes in professional life and the most importantly to become a good person. In my academic life I learned a lot from practical problem solving and different project visit. Nowadays those practical knowledges helping me a lot in my professional life. Employers aren't just interested in degrees these days. They try to look at other ways I can expand myself. They don't just want someone who has spent four years of their life book-bashing. They want someone who can communicate well with people and work hard in a team. My varsity definitely broadens the mind. I can remember that I have attended in many seminars, lectures, conference etc. organized by Daffodil. Many renowned persons from home and abroad has given their views of the professional world at those programs. Those things were really helpful to me. So far, I can tell that the university gives me a all types of direction by which I can improve myself in my career and I can proudly say that I am doing so. Still as an alumni I get invitation in many programs of my university as well as many events. There are many collaboration programs I have attended with the running students. There are a alumni association in DIU, where we meet with other departments students and enhance our professional benefit. A good alumni association is important for the students to get a good job and work better and our university is maintaining that very well. Already alumni association has built a good community and network not only in Bangladesh but also in florigen country also. I believe that Daffodil will support us to build a successful career of us. I think that a degree helps a person to get on in life. I also think that other things I learned at university, like independence, are equally helpful. Fighting For Your Dream Gives You A Blessing Not A Curse Fighting against the family to fulfill my dream had put me all the time in a difficult situation I am here to share the background of the feelings that I felt the immediate second when I heard from our respected Head that "Congratulations , from now you are an architect" . Well I am an Architect & an alumni of Daffodil International University. I have completed my B.Arch in December 2019. Study in architecture became my dream when I was admitted for the coaching of Engineering and became my passion after I selected for BUET examination. The situation was not with me to fulfill my dream easily it had decided a hard path already. But Daffodil International University made that path slightly a bit clear for me. I was in here to study In CSE department not in ARCHITECTURE cause CSE is the best department in DIU, from that exact moment fighting for my dream started with my family. The 5 year journey started with a huge compulsion in my daily life. After admitted here I realize that ARCHITECTURE IS NOT JUST A DEPARTMENT IT'S A FAMILY So I turned my focus on the study and working hard to achieve everything that my new family prepared for me in my every new step. Finally I learn how to fought back and gave my 100% to adapt the all things I could get from my respected faculty. I must say that I am blessed that i found a tremendous faulty in my hard time. They supported me a lot when I fall and when I glow. They appreciated me in my hard work and also criticize for my own good. With a good result and a much disciplined life I exit that place and stepped in a new life. 5 years was not a less time to get something or loose something. Many more days are still waiting for me. In my own perspective 5 years ago the situation was not in my side and today after passing from the university the situation is still not with me. We are facing the Pandemic situation of COVID-19. But still not regretted for this situation that it stopped me to entering in my new life cause those passed 5 year moments I didn't share with my family nowadays I gave it to them with the full interest. I hope and pray as a part of this family that, The Department of Architecture and my beloved Daffodil International University will rise and shine.

And I had in mind that architecture is the only subject that is different from all other subjects; where knowledge can be gained through a combination of thought and logic. After passing HSC, I was very confused that in which university's Dept. of Architecture I should get admitted. Daffodil International University was already familiar to me but its Architecture Department was around only one-year-old then. It was a quite new department that time. Despite that, I got admitted in the spring session of 2015 and to be honest, I didn't have to regret for taking that decision. Despite being a new department we have got the most qualified faculty. They are the most supportive and friendly teachers. In my opinion, the teachers of the Architecture Department of other universities, those are been running for many years, could not give their students much time and sincerity that our teachers give to our students. Our department has many academic courses along architecture such as Photography, Sculpture making, Interior design, Craftsmanship etc. So that we can work in any sector of our choice after graduation. There is no limitations to our job choices. At the same time our teachers always encouraged us to be active in Daffodil University's online based academic programs. This has enhanced our skills in online communication which has been very helpful in working from home in such situations as current epidemic. I completed my graduation in December 2019.1am currently working on some online based projects as well as working as a freelance interior architect and also planning for higher education. I want to work towards making our country as a beautiful livable country with my creativity and ideas.

Obviously it's natural to open up about one's experience of success. Here I am writing about my success story in professional sector. Well I am an Architect & an alumni of Daffodil International University. I have completed my B.Arch in December 2018. Joined as associate architect in Studio Spacejam from January 2019. When I was a student I was really concerned about my future for the reason of studying in a private university. I was told as like as others of my age that studying in a private university won't brighten up my future, I will not get any job bla bla bla. But after spending a few years and after having a bit of experience in profession sectors I had seen that it's all not about a public graduate or a private graduate, it's more than that. It's about skill, it's about passion and it's about consistency. So I had focused my all in improving my skills and sharpened them. As the first thesis batch of Dept. of Architecture it was hard to improve the skills because of not having any seniors. Our faculty members stepped in about the problem and provided us with their best assists in every aspect of our need. Without the help of those heavenly souls I shouldn't have come this far at all. I don't think I am enough successful yet because there is always a lot more in success you know! But as far as I have come today this won't be possible at all without their guidance. I am forever in debt of my faculty members. So writing of success I have learnt to seek knowledge and accept challenges. I have always tried to improve myself in every aspect I can both mentally and skillfully. I always keep in touch with the professionals and try to learn from them.lt's been more than one year I am working with the firm and I think they are happy with me. The best way to keep your employer/s happy is to always fulfill their expectation to you with your skills and knowledge. There are always struggles in way but I try to overcome then and succeeded so far. I always try to stay positive and keep my distance from negative people those who will always say you can't. I focus on the bright side, I try to remain calm, i don't rush with a decision try to provide the best of me to my employer. Basically job is really not the only success I want that's why I am preparing myself for having an own architectural firm. I know it'll take a lot of time but I am okay with it. Success doesn't come so easily you know, you have to work for it. You have to work for it a lot. I am just doing that. So the things I have learnt through these years that no matter from where you graduate if you have skills you can succeed. It's not mandatory for success to have a graduation but it really helps a lot. One have to improve skills in those sector that they love to do. If anyone finds a job with a high salary that they don't love and sucks at it but still holding on to it because they need the money, then that's not the success I will want. Work without love and passion in not a profession nor a success. It's a way of giving labor. I work in this profession because I love to work. I love those puzzle solving moves in my head while solving a design. I love the intense pressure of my profession. I love when I give my society a sustainable design. I love those happy faces of my clients after getting their desire fulfilled. Because that is what success is to me.

Almost from the beginning, I was involved with this program through many academic activities like as an external to the thesis defense and oral board member. For the last one and half years, I have been involved in taking a course as a guest faculty and my experience is wonderful so far. M. Pharm curriculum and laboratory facilities of DIU are highly standard to meet the demands of the employers. In my point of view, Blended Learning Center (BLC) is an excellent technology-based advanced learning platform to make the student more competent and to reach the global standard. I am Nahian Fyrose Fahim, currently serving as a senior lecturer at DIU. Like thousands of students of Bangladesh I was at a loss after completing my graduation. I admitted another reputed university but I did not get satisfaction according to my career plan. When I took the opportunity of studying M.pharm at DIU, my intention was to find a place of education where I can learn from the heart. I am Sabiha Kamal, currently serving as Scientific Officer in a government research organization named Bangladesh Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements. My name is Hambali Aminu Abubakar. I am international student in the Department of Pharmacy at DIU. I was originally interested in increasing my knowledge of pharmacy so I applied for M.Pharm at a recognized university.
